In a reflecting telescope, the large primary mirror forms the converging beam. A small secondary mirror is placed in this beam to redirect the light sideways, allowing the eyepiece to be placed outside the main telescope tube. Therefore the secondary mirror is used to move the eyepiece outside the telescopic tube. Hence option C follows.
